The Department of Corrections is the state agency responsible for the supervision and management of convicted felons. Community protection is accomplished by operating safe, secure facilities that hold offenders accountable through humane, firm, fair, and consistent practices. The Department provides a wide range of treatment, education and vocational programs to help offenders become productive citizens.
