Aging Prisoners

The "graying" of the prisoner population is a national trend that will have profound effects on all state correctional systems. The immutable aging demographics of our society over the next 25 years will impact all state agencies in Utah.

The Utah 2030 Project conducted by the Utah Commission on Aging, with the participation of all state agencies, attempts to mitigate this impact. For more information, visit http://aging.utah.edu/utah_coa/index.html.
