Alan James, Director
Utah Correctional Industries
Alan began his career with the Utah Department of Corrections in 1990 working for the Division of Correctional Industries. He has filled various assignments in manufacturing and administration during his tenure with UCI.
Prior to joining correctional industries he spent ten years in private sector manufacturing management.
Alan was appointed the Deputy Director of UCI in June of 2003, and the Director of UCI in April of 2004.
Alan received his Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Columbia College. He received a Masters of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Utah, and is a member of the Pi Alpha Alpha honor society.

Harold G. McCown
Deputy Division Director, Division of Correctional Industries (UCI)
Harold McCown became the Deputy Division Director for UCI in August 2004. Before this appointment he worked as both the Financial Analyst and later the Financial Manager for the division. Prior to working for UCI he served in financial positions within the Division of Institutional Operations, winding up as the Business Manager for the prison.
Prior to his service with the Utah Department of Corrections, Harold worked at two CPA firms, two automobile dealerships, was the assistant internal auditor for a major Arizona savings and loan association, an instructor at Stevens-Henager College, and the Controller for Osmond Studios.
Harold received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University.
