Provider and Affiliate Ethics Statement

  1. Service providers are expected to comply with the ethical standards of their discipline.
  2. Service providers will not have been convicted of a felony or any sexually deviant behavior. Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  3. Service providers must have demonstrated competence in providing sex offender treatment.
  4. Providers must hold all those they supervise to established standards.
  5. Service provided will be what is considered best practice in the field. Providers will actively involve corrections and victim services in the treatment process.
  6. Community Protection will be the guiding principle of treatment of the sex offender. Offender who remain in denial or fail to progress in treatment present an unacceptable risk to the community.
  7. Extended treatment is a vital component of continued success for sex offenders. It should continue as long as clinically indicated at a frequency based on the offender's risk and need.
