Region One covers Box Elder, Cache and Rich counties. The region has two offices - one in Brigham City and the main regional office in Logan. Region One is bordered by Idaho on the north, Wyoming on the east and Nevada on the west.
The region has 24 full-time staff, who are assisted by student interns and more than 18 citizen volunteers comprising four Community Accountability Boards.
We are part of a law enforcement community consisting of three county sheriff's offices, nine city police departments, the Utah Highway Patrol, and federal and state officers at Bear Lake State Park, Willard Bay State Park, Golden Spike National Monument and Bear River National Bird Refuge.

Goals/Ideals
- Be a model region - as efficient and effective as possible in reports produced, processes and procedures used, offender supervision, use of community resources, offender programming and re-entry initiatives. Ensure our procedures and work efforts are efficient and streamlined, while still producing maximum results and outcomes.
- Ensure that our supervision efforts are resulting in a reduction of the risk level of a majority of offenders and are centered in evidence-based practices. Experiment with and implement various strategies based on evidence-based practice, current trends and staff ideas to accomplish this objective.
- Provide opportunities for growth and development for all staff. Continually work on positive and effective staff relationships, morale and espirit de corp within the region, individual offices and units.
- Continue to enhance and improve our transitional services, re-entry efforts and supervision for parolees and high-risk probationers.
- Regularly evaluate where we are. Prepare for and enact change where needed for improvement and growth.
