Visiting criteria for people showing possible signs of illness
Due to the recent illness spreading across the nation we are not allowing visitors access if they can answer yes to any one of the following questions:- Do you have a fever, sore throat, muscle aches, joint aches, and shortness of breath or a cough? If it has been more than 10 days since your symptoms have gone away, you will be allowed to visit.
- Are you currently feeling ill or in need of medical care? You will not be allowed to visit if we detect obvious signs of an illness.
- Are you currently being treated for any contagious illness? We understand the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience in this matter.

CENTRAL UTAH CORRECTIONAL FACILITY (Gunnison, Utah) Visiting Schedules
- NEW HOURS - CUCF Visiting will now be 8-5, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. No one will be admitted between 10:30 a.m. and 12 noon, or after 3:30pm.
- The maximum number of visits allowed is three per four day visiting block. No more than one two-hour visit per day.

An inmate's visiting list shall not exceed immediate family and five non-immediate family visitors. For our definition of immediate family please refer to the Visitor Request Form - If you have a medical condition that may set off the metal detector, you need to provide something from your doctor, detailing what parts of the body may set it off i.e. hip or knee replacements or any metal that you may have. It is important to do this before your first visit to eliminate the possibility of being turned away.

Visiting Request Forms shall include the:
- Inmate's full name, prison/offender number, date of request, housing assignment, and inmate's signature;
- Visitor's first, middle, last name, maiden name (if applicable), sex, marital status, social security number, address, driver's license number, the state that issued the license, and date of birth;
- Visitor's relationship to the inmate.
The inmate or visitor may submit a completed visiting application to VCC or CUCF Visiting. Visitors may submit applications for themselves and for minors.
Those who receive the visiting packet should complete the portion of the application marked "Visitor's Section."
Visitors wishing to be notified of the approval or denial shall attach a self-addressed stamped envelope to their visiting application.
The visitor shall mail the application, all documentation, the signed consent form and any other supplemental information to the VCC or to CUCF Visiting.
Visiting Documentation Form:
- The Visitor will attach the appropriate personal documentation as described on the back of the application form or as specified by visiting staff. All documentation should contain the inmate's clearly printed name and number.
- Visiting Minor Request Form (pdf)

All minor visitors, except spouses, shall be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
If the minor's parent or legal guardian is unable to escort the minor to visiting, the individual shall:
- be a member of the minor's immediate family; and
- provide a notarized letter from the parent or legal guardian giving the individual permission to escort the minor.
Minors will be automatically removed from the inmate's visiting list, without notification, on their 18th birthday. It is their, or the inmate's responsibility, to submit an adult visiting application for the minor, prior to the minor's 18th birthday.

Prior to the initial visit, the approved visitor shall sign the Visitor Consent Form, which states that he/she has read, understands, and shall comply with the visiting rules and regulations.
- Visiting Renewal Update Form (pdf)

All inmates/visitors shall update their visiting application annually. It is the responsibility of the inmate or visitor to submit a renewal form to VCC or CUCF visiting staff, 12 months from the date the application was approved. Visitors or inmates shall notify the visiting staff in writing of any change of address of approved visitors within 10 days of new address. Failure to provide this information within the 10-day time limit may result in suspension of visiting privileges.
