Aimee Griffiths

In March 2025, Aimee Griffiths was appointed as the Chief of the Division of Prison Operations. She previously served as an Assistant Chief in Adult Probation and Parole since February 2024.
Griffiths began her career with the Utah Department of Corrections in 2004 at the former Utah State Prison in Draper, where she was later promoted to correctional sergeant. During her time in the Draper facility, Griffiths had the opportunity to work with all populations and security levels.
In 2006, Griffiths moved to Adult Probation and Parole. As an agent, sergeant, and lieutenant, Griffiths specialized in managing high-risk offender populations, including drug offenders, gang offenders, sex offenders, and the mentally ill. She served in the field as well as in the community correctional centers. During this time, Griffiths obtained a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Colorado Technical University.
In 2021, Griffiths was appointed as the Adult Probation and Parole Captain overseeing Salt Lake, Summit, and Tooele counties. There, she oversaw field and community correctional center operations in those areas.
