Director of Communications and Government Relations

Glen Mills brings more than two decades of experience in communications and public affairs to the Utah Department of Corrections. He joined the UDC from ABC4 News, where he worked as a main news anchor, chief political correspondent and host of Inside Utah Politics. Prior to that, he held various on-air and management positions at television stations in Grand Junction, Colorado, Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Pocatello, Idaho.


He grew up in Sandy, Utah. He graduated from the University of Utah where he majored in Mass Communication and minored in Business. He loves to stay active, and take advantage of all the incredible outdoor opportunities our state has to offer.


Mills spent several years as a religion volunteer at the Utah State Prison in the late 1990s. That experience gives him a unique perspective on the human element of rehabilitation.
