Internal Audit Bureau Director
Rachel Summers was appointed to serve as the Internal Audit Director for the Utah Department of Corrections in February 2020.
Summers began her career with the Department of Corrections as an auditor in 2012. She then spent several years as a performance auditor for the Office of the Utah State Auditor, and most recently, the Utah Department of Health.
She received her bachelor’s degree and Master of Public Administration degree from BYU. She is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP) through the Institute of Internal Auditors.
