Clinical Services Bureau Director
Executive Director Rollin Cook appointed Tony J. Washington in November 2015 as the correctional health services administrator for the Utah Department of Corrections’ Clinical Services Bureau.
Tony Washington is the Clinical Services Bureau Director for the Utah Department of Corrections. Mr. Washington previously held numerous senior management positions in the healthcare industry for approximately 20 years before coming to the Department. He served as President of the board for the Brain Injury Alliance of Utah for approximately 5 years, working to develop new programs and resources for people with TBI/ABI’s. He has Bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Theology. He received his MBA with Healthcare Administration emphasis in June of 2012. He is a former Dale Carnegie facilitator and Mandt Instructor spending many years providing training focused on effective communications, human relations and conflict resolution.
In this capacity he has worked with a variety of professionals from CEO’s to line staff to develop advanced skills in relationship building and communications including public speaking. His human relations course has been facilitated with the executive team at the Utah Department of Corrections and is currently being offered as part of the leadership training program.
