Tim Kincaid

Tim Kincaid was named Chief of Adult Probation and Parole in 2025.
Kincaid began his law enforcement career in 1991 in Washington State, where he served as both a deputy sheriff and city officer, gaining experience in patrol and investigations. Kincaid also served as a member of a drug task force.
From 2000 to 2023, Kincaid worked for the Utah Highway Patrol, with roles including road trooper and Safety Inspection trooper. As a sergeant, he spent time overseeing crews on the road and in the State Bureau of Investigation. As a lieutenant, he managed the SBI alcohol enforcement and a field bureau in Salt Lake. While a captain, Kincaid oversaw several field sections and the Commercial Motor Vehicle Division.
Kincaid joined the Utah Department of Corrections in 2023 and previously served as the Deputy Chief of AP&P.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Penn Foster University.
