Panel presentations by residents of the Con-Quest and ExCell programs at the Utah State Prison or inmates at the Central Utah Correctional Facility are designed to help the public understand events that lead to incarceration and the realities of prison life. During the presentations, inmates share their individual stories and answer questions. In addition to promoting public understanding, the interactions give inmates an opportunity to reflect on their own actions and bad decision-making, while providing a cautionary tale to at-risk youth and others.
Individuals interested in attending a panel presentation at the Utah State Prison must be at least 14 years of age and must pass a background clearance. Minors must be accompanied by an adult 21 or over. Requests to participate must be made 45 days in advance. For more information, call 801-576-8237.
