DAN BOKOVOY

Legal Counsel

Dan is employed by the Office of the Utah Attorney General and has served as general legal counsel for the Utah Department of Corrections since 2018. Dan provides legal representation and advice to the Department in various areas of law, including prison policy, state contracts, employment issues, and civil rights.

 

Dan has a B.A. in philosophy from U.C. San Diego and a M.A. in philosophy from the University of Utah. He has a J.D. from the S.J. Quinney College of Law.

 

Prior to joining the Office of the Utah Attorney General, Dan worked as a bailiff/law clerk for the 4th District Court where he received his Special Functions Certificate through P.O.S.T. Following this, Dan worked as a prosecutor with Uintah County Attorney’s Office for 5 years and with the Salt Lake County D.A.’s Office for 3 years.
